June 9-10th: Oregon Mountain Cruise Car Show

Come join us for a fun filled weekend for the Annual Oregon Mtn. Cruise Car Show. It’s one of the best little car shows in the Northwest. Up to 200 antique cars and hot rods take over Joseph's beautiful main street to redefine AWESOME! Their motto says it all: "If you're not having fun, You're not doing it right."

July 4th: "Shake the Lake" Fireworks at Wallowa Lake

Fireworks display at Wallowa Lake. Come enjoy a fantastic fireworks display at Wallowa Lake. Donations are welcome. Uncle Sam will be attending the festivities. Best viewing from the County park at the north end.


July 23rd - Aug. 20th: Perseids Meteor Shower

Originating from the constellation Perseus, this years summer astrological event peaks on August 17th. This is an normal year which means they will appear at at a max rate of about 80 per hour. Joseph, with its low light pollution and accessible parks, wilderness and open prairie is an ideal place for viewing.

July 21-23rd: Nez Perce Tamkaliks Celebration

The Annual Tamkaliks Celebration (formerly Wallowa Band Descendants Friendship Feast & Pow Wow) is a celebration and recognition of the continuing Nez Perce presence in the Wallowa Valley. Join us in our three day celebration of traditional Native American culture. The 2015 Tamkaliks Committee President is Brian Conner. He may be reached through the WBNPTIC, Inc. office.

August 21: Solar Eclipse

Joseph Oregon will witness an almost total eclipse of the sun! The moon will begin its crossing around 9 am and will reach its peak about 10:30 am. Don't miss it!

August 24-27th: Wallowa County Thunder Run

The main event is open to anyone 21 and over and will take place at the Wallowa County Fairgrounds in Enterprise, OR. With 5 live bands, biker games, vendors, food/drinks, VIP tent and on site dry camping. Poker Run throughout the county.

September 28 - 1st: Oregon's Alpenfest

Oregon's Alpenfest, a family-oriented, fun-filled Swiss-Bavarian festival, will take place Thursday through Sunday, with performances at the Edelweiss Inn at Wallowa Lake.

Polka dancing will return with teachers Randy and Ashley Thull as well as Swiss yodeler Arthur Brogli, the Tirolean Dancers of Oregon, local alphornist Bruce Coutant and accordionists galore.

Also featured will be Joseph Trading Post bratwurst, the official sausage of Alpenfest; Alpenfest Sauerkraut, and Terminal Gravity Vienna-style Alpenfest ale.
